Accountants in Berkshire for growing businesses

Fixed-fee bookkeeping, tax and advice from an ACCA-regulated practice, for businesses and individuals across Berkshire.

Areas we cover in Berkshire

Berkshire’s economy is built on the technology firms along the M4 corridor, including Microsoft and Oracle in Reading, alongside Windsor’s tourism trade and a professional services and insurance base spread through Bracknell and Wokingham. NDCA is a fixed-fee practice built for that mix, run through Xero, with one accountant instead of a rotating team. Berkshire clients stretch from Reading to Windsor and the commuter towns in between, so pick your town below for local detail or get in touch if yours is not listed yet.

What can I say. When I first met Noor over at NDCA I instantly knew he was the man for the job. Straight away he made me feel at ease about my accounts and my tax situation which I personally felt were an absolute mess. Well here we are! 6 months later, limited company open and everything in order. I can now truly relax and focus on growing my business. NDCA has truly dissolved my tax anxiety. Cannot recommend them enough.

Who we help

Why businesses choose NDCA

Accounts filed once a year show where the business was, not where it is now. NDCA combines regular advice with live figures in Xero and a fixed monthly fee, so you make decisions on current numbers.

What growing businesses in Berkshire need from an accountant

Sole traders and freelancers around Reading and the Thames Valley often need someone who understands R&D tax relief and share option schemes, not just the basics: registering with HMRC, understanding what can be claimed as an expense and knowing what to set aside for tax.

Limited companies need more than annual accounts. Payroll, VAT, corporation tax and management accounts all need to happen on schedule, and Thames Valley tech firms often have R&D tax relief and EMI share scheme questions that go unanswered without the right accountant, one who answers questions the same week, not the same quarter.

Landlords face a separate set of tax rules: restricted mortgage interest relief, specific allowable expenses and capital gains on disposal. We help you get these right from the first property, and review the structure as the portfolio grows.

At any stage of growth, a good accountant raises issues before they turn into problems, rather than filing one return a year and waiting for the next.

Why Berkshire businesses choose a remote-first accountant

Remote working lets us spend time on your numbers instead of on an office, and we see the same live Xero figures you do.

NDCA selects clients on fit, not location. That means senior attention on your account whether you are a Reading tech scale-up, a Bracknell professional services firm or a sole trader on your way to becoming a limited company, not a junior handling everything while a partner signs it off once a year.

How NDCA works

Fixed monthly fee

One monthly price for everything in scope, with no hourly charges and no bill for asking a question.

Direct answers from your accountant

Your accountant knows your business and your numbers, normally replies the same day and works from figures that are current, not a year old.

Built around your business

Whether you are a sole trader, a growing limited company or a landlord with a few properties, we build the service around what you actually need, not a one-size template.

Cloud accounting with Xero

  • Bank feeds: transactions and payment data from your accounts and Stripe flow in automatically, with VAT filed direct to HMRC under Making Tax Digital.
  • Invoice capture: we use Apron to capture invoices and receipts, so costs land in the right period without anyone keeping a shoebox.
  • Mobile app: check your numbers, approve payments and capture a receipt from your phone, wherever you are.
  • Real-time figures: your Xero file is live for both of us, not something that only gets touched once a year.

If you are not on Xero yet, we migrate you as part of onboarding.

Switching from a Berkshire accountant

If your accountant is slow to respond, still works from spreadsheets or has grown too big to give you proper attention, we handle the move for you. Moving to NDCA is simple: we handle the handover with your previous accountant, register with HMRC as your new agent and get you set up on Xero. How long it takes depends mainly on how quickly your previous accountant sends the records across, and we keep you updated throughout.
